The Tale

A hundred and twenty-eight years before the Sixth Umbral Calamity...An avid Nymian Scholar by the name of Anoto studied deeply into the rituals of summoning faeries into the source, without the need to rely on the summoner to keep their presence. With no success well into his elder years, Anoto still determined to accomplish his work and cast a forbidden spell using his own aether as a sacrifice that would remain with its density in the form of a crystal, but killing him in the process. Summoning one last Fae with his last few breaths he informed her of the crystal. Telling her she would need to have it wherever she went in Eorzea. The Fae married a local Nymian gem cutter, named Serifas Thia who had a love for all the beautiful geodes and crystals of the land he found.
But the Fae was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Not because of her attractive appearance but because her magnetic energetic nature pulled at his heart and would take him wherever she went.
Having lost her memory during the summon the gem cutter named her Phinie.
Phinie conceived a child that they named Japheth, who quickly died of sickness.
Phinie knew that she needed the crystal to survive and realised that her child had died because of not having one. Phinie fell into a deep depression.
As war came to Nym Serifas and Phinie tried to find refuge outside the city walls, where they lived in the hills of Outer La Noscea. Phinie was with child once more
and feared for the worst.
As the war had waged for almost a year before they returned to their home, many had been killed. The people cried as they entered the city. "Traitors! Cowards!"
Phinie, seeing a man rushing towards her love Serifas with a blade, quickly jumped in front of him the blade piercing her chest.
The man instantly arrested by Nymian guards spat on the ground as he was carried away.
Phinie held the dagger in as she looked to Serifas with desperation. "Do not let our child die my love." She said as she took the blade out of her chest handing it to him. Serifas held the blood-coated dagger, shaking, knowing what he had to do. He wept as he looked his love in the eyes and he cut open her belly bringing their child into the world, he held up to her mother and before she drew her last breath said: "Lynie, her name will be Lynie." She looked at her child, took the crystal and gave it to Serifas one last time speaking the words "Don't let it leave her side.", before she passed.

The Tale

As Lynie grew into her early twenties she too fell for a Nymian boy named Jehn, who devoted most of his time and energy to his scholarly research into using the soothing effects of umbral aether to improve someone's mental state.
That is until he noticed he had caught the attention of a rather energetic little spitfire, Lynie.
His focus almost immediately shifted and they became like best friends but they loved each other with all their being.
Upon their wedding day, the Sixth Umbral Calamity was nearing Nym's doorstep. The Nymians had come into a new knowledge of soul stones that would bind to the person wielding it, giving them greatly enhanced knowledge and skill in combat. Not long after arriving home from their honeymoon, Jehn received a note from the Nymian empire, drafting him into service. As he had no prior training in combat he was to bind with a scholar stone and bind a faerie within the stone to fight at his side.
Lynie tried protesting, but as he feared the fate of his beloved wife and his homeland Jehn agreed willingly to fight.
Lynie, desperate not to lose her beloved Jehn, insisted that he bind her in the stone with him. There she fought alongside him against the Magi. Sadly after just 2 days, Jehn was killed on the front lines of battle. Lynie retreated into the stone where she laid dormant until...

The Tale

A Xaela man named Batu Kha trekked his way up a steep mossy ravine with the support of a nearby encampment, he and his excavation team traversed upward when suddenly the ground crumbled beneath them. Batu and one other excavator survived the fall but there was no way out it seemed. In the distance, the other excavator saw a light which they followed into a muddy crevasse. There, up ahead was a light glow of multiple colors. Somewhat dim but still strange to say the least. Batu and his fellow excavator investigated further, finding a heap of small Lalafell-like bones and in the mids of them, scattered about were multiple soulstones. Extremely excited but also a little in shock Batu gathered up the soulstones and they traversed throughout the cave using small rations of food before finding a way out of the darkness.
A year passed, and the man started gaining unwanted attention from corrupt investors and bounty hunters. Desperate for help he made a pact with a voidsent named Eligos Hastur which held until the day he died of a rare sickness affecting his heart. At this, the voidsent In a fit of rage and desperation threw a soulstone against the wall shattering it in two.
A small fae girl emerged. from the stone. Lynie had been born back into the world.

The Tale

Eligos departed, never to return to this very day.
Naked, alone and disoriented, Lynie searched the room for anything that might help her, stumbling across a pouch of old Nymian coins. Knowing it was money, she quickly took it and fled to the nearest settlement and stole clothes and
food for sustenance.
Finding a flyer outside an encampment neighboring the settlement, the image of a phoenix crest stamped on the top right corner, out of curiosity she asked a man there to read it to her, being that the city of Nym never fully accepted her or her mothers presence and forbid her to attend public schools, her reading skills where sparse at best.
Informed of the flyer's intent (A band of heroes and mercenaries looking to hire), she paid for a local carriage to take her to the location, in hopes they would have use for her.
Soon after arriving, she was quickly welcomed into the arms of The Phoenix Accord, where she assisted with the Ayame tea house they operated as a front and a means of extra money.
A Miqo'te man named Nao'a, especially became fond of her and they started to view each other as siblings.
Even Nao'a sister began to refer to Lynie as her little sis.
Lynie in turn started to feel deeply for her new found family, and her incorporeal aether started to weaken in her necklace, if she did not find a way to bind to the gem, it was only a matter of time before she would lose her life to the aetherial sea.

I am not my character and my character is not me.
If my character does not like your character, it is has no impact on my actual OOC opinion of you
who should be a completely different person from your character as well anyway.
The same goes for if my character is romantically involved in game.
If I like your char in game it does not mean I want to be with you IRL.
